It is already happening. The major suppliers know how single-sourced 3M is for a LOT of stuff. With MT and the labs crippled by cuts, technical dual sourcing won't be fast. The suppliers know 3M can't walk away for a long time, so the threat is hollow.
i look forward to the day where all the key suppliers decide to abandon Tiremans threat. Bring him to his knees. Wahaha.
Just wait until the Tire Gibbons is CEO. He can then proceed to threaten customers as well as suppliers.
