@d7 They kind of - sort of announced the changes via an KB post: https://my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K000152956
@cs Press releases say just 106 in Washington State.
@d8 he takes $$$, not responsibility
Businesses investors are going to be f’d in the next ten years. If they really think all employees are expendable to keep making higher profits but people won’t have jobs or money for the products that are out there like advertisements will be dead
too bad that F5 is hiding all of this by not issuing a press release.....
Guess that their embarrassed with the twice a year culling.......
Why not the entire F5 got to drain in stead of slowly dying? It is painful, because all the goons still survive and make money as stock is going up.
@cr I believe it was 9% some 620+ souls
My condolences everyone. I was RIF’d in April 2023, when 6% of F5 was let go. This is heartbreaking. Life continues, but today, it’s two steps back, and that one step forward is some other day ❤️🩹😞
Lots of people from benched products like Central Manager are affected.
@c5 40+
What a joke they are offering affected people to apply for roles externally. US and India, if you are in EMEA you are cooked!!!
@ca Everything going forward is going to be AI generated....
UX teams also impacted. I wonder how they are planning to build anything UI based now. I guess engineers and PMs will be asked to step in to design.
@c8 I wonder how The Prophet is going to spin this one......
a U.S based Sr Mgr, Software Development Engineering was let go today. She even emails to Non Biz, must feels very betrayed by. IT will be ordered to remove the email
any word on any executives being axed?
Yup.. some from my team were affected...
@OP What is count ?
@c3 sh-t - which team?
Team laid off
@c1 job elimination meeting.
@c0 you should say ,whats there in email ..
What does the mail headline say, just got an email
product engineering @ba
Hyderabad, Bangalore, Warsaw & Tel Aviv offices were affected. Not sure about US though. No official communication to the employees & frenzy has been going for like 12 hours now.
@bq it's me and likely me only being over sensitive - I never liked the word "targeted" when used in RIFs. It's like it makes RIFing the person all ok for the greater good. I view it as a failure of management not looking at the long term value of the employee. Very short sighted from where I sit.
In all locations, very targeted, no any mass layoffs
@ae The US is next
@ae Heard the news but not sure about confirmation . Can please someone confirms about which BU's got affected ?
