Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Cutting Back Bennies

Has anyone noticed how our benefits are getting trimmed constantly? I just noticed how Humankind company matching went down ($10k match down to $7.5k). They used to offer 2 company “grants” of $500 for logging 40 hours of volunteer work. Not anymore! Just one now. What’s next from HR?

How about sprints to determine your annual pay raise? An objective standard would be welcome!

@bp

Oh I have, months ago. Just haven't notified anyone in my reporting chain. Paychecks keep rolling in, without the hassle and stress of having to pretend to care about this cesspool.

@af, which plan? Is that the PPO or is it all of them? Our healthcare plans seem mediocre at best vs. the competition.

A lot of engineers after joining Chevron (at least here) don't bother to renew their professional memberships.

Make sure you all sign up again and milk every last dollar of benefits, since they are all too happy to strip other benefits away.

Annual training budgets are the same. Plenty of us aren't making full use. Book something in this final quarter, get your pound of flesh.
