Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Wassup. IBM stock up $14 and 5% 9-25-25.

Gary Cohn doing more "whisper number" interviews on Jim Cramer etc just prior to Q3 results showing IBM hitting consensus estimates BUT lucky to grow top line revenue more than 2%?

Around 288 now, too high already (fell 7.8% after Q2 earnings). We have about 3 1/2 more weeks to go until the next earnings call. How many hypes do we need to keep it going up? Couple more? Three?

Asking for a friend, hypothetical question:

If you have a long term relationship, say, with a bank, let's say, a bank like HSBC, that kinda writes a report about, let's say, Quantum Computing, that... let's say, puts IBM as a Quantum Computing leader, what would happen with the stoQ of that Qompany?

Oh, what a coincidence, look... Today, 09/26, IBM shares are up slightly after an analyst highlighted the company's position as a leader in Quantum Computing, spurred by HSBC's success using IBM quantum tools. Didn't know that Quantum was actually a thing that was working already. Surprise!

IBM up to $286 this morning... the stock will rise to $300 before the upcoming earning call. After that, it will most likely drop.

Yes. AK is draining / k ill ing the company from every single possible corner.

The st o ck was around $280 this morning, something that we cannot comprehend, but as long as it gives reasonable gains, people won't look at the debt. The moment it stopped delivering gains, people will be like "oh, but the debt".

The market doesn't learn and doesn't care: IBM hypes, doesn't deliver, not GR, not AK.

Ugly dude AK is going into year 6.... unbelievable. IBM looks more and more like Intel...

It could survive if they change CEOs right now and bring someone really capable. But won't happen. Whoever decided on Ginni and Tonic and Ugly dude AK and on top of thar keeping them for this long doesn't have a clue.

It was a good day, I sold all my IBM shares. I do not believe that IBM is moving anywhere. IBm is taking its last breath.

Someone like Cohn is better communicator than the dullard Alvind, who looks more and more like the "Maharaja" icon of the "old" Air India days. He's just waiting for his payday bonus.

I thought, oh, Cohn is a more effective communicator and spokesperson than the actual CEO (and it's not because of the English).

Don't we have a deja vu moment now?

Pre-earnings promotion tour, stock goes up, earnings results are released, reality hits, stock goes down? (less than if the stock wasn't hyped pre-earnings though)
