Can confirm: it’s a toxic stew of egos, turf guarding, and corporate incompetence.

The ignorance in these posts is stunning. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet…because the below “facts” are complete bs.

@bh+1jk3jzba2 you just can’t help but inject your hate into every DJ-related thread, can you? I get it, getting turned down for a role at PDCE after the NBL sale fiasco must have been real tough on your confidence. And sure, the merger announcement, PDCE's stellar production numbers, low opex, low carbon, and high employee productivity stats… yeah, that would definitely add insult to injury. But then again, considering you’re probably not literate enough to read earnings statements, I’m sure it’s hard to grasp just how much better PDCE was doing in the DJ. Anyway, keep playing the hating clown. You’re going to need a scapegoat after the upcoming restructuring.

Some of these comments make me a little disappointed. I come from PDC and would hope if you had a problem with me or my work you would say it to me so we can fix it together. Hopefully this is not the opinion of my peers who will be advocating for me to stay/go. I personally didn’t push anyone out of their position, so maybe I’m not the target of these posts. I’ve felt nothing but welcomed and work well with the l-Noble and lifer Chevron types equally. The only thing that shocked me coming in is the blatant “pick and choose” of what Chevron policies/procedures are used compared to what RBU leadership “says” they expect to be executed. That was more of a political shock, but aside from that, it has been a good experience.

Utter nonsense. PDCe was a clown show of hack primadonnas, who no one else in the basin wanted to employ (pre merger). The few with talent left. I’ve never seen a group of people more convinced of their talent while having so little. And don’t get me started on these legendary drilling and permitting programs. I can tell you first hand the State never thought highly of how they did business.

The disgruntled former pdc (not retained by CVX) permitting team gripes are so overblown and uninformed. CVX is getting ahead of permits. Only 1000 locations left. Primary Nio/Codell program is done by 2030. Lack of permits won’t be the issue. It’ll be lack of locations.

The Oxy to CVX rumors are wrong too. Oxy is selling their royalty position.

The “getting the permits” thing is the most real thing anyone has said. PDC had good, long-term relations with the State and the State absolutely hates Chevron changing who they are talking to all the time. Combined, Chevron turned a 5 rig program into a 2 rig program…good job!

Maybe, just MAYBE, Chevron shouldn't have let go the only people from PDC that actually knew how to get permits. Or MAYBE Chevron shouldn't have cut the wells left to drill in half. Talk about shooting yourselves in the foot! Honestly, maybe y'all should have reconsidered the people you're so unimpressed with. I'm sure you passed over some people that probably would have worked out better than the people you actually kept from that acquisition. No wonder there are plans to move everyone to Greeley and Houston and good riddance to the rest!
