This site is so boring. If you want to be more like Shell, Chevron, or Exxon then please get some meaningful discussion going.

This company doesn’t care about the stockholders at all.
It's not what can I do for Oxy but what will Oxy do for me. That's the mantra here on this site. Soon it will be the call of ...how much are raises and how big will the bonus be this year. No real understanding that the stock price has eroded 20% since their last bonus. An entitled bunch...
Will do. But remind me again what those priorities are? I forget.
Its ok, bonus season is just around the corner. One has to remember the priorities on this site.
Really see the intelligence and maturity level of Oxy on these boards. It’s hilarious. 😂
Strike two! Next time write a longer post with even more useless info and maybe you will be taken seriously.
This is how I can tell you are not an Oxy employee. APC spent upwards of a billion dollars in Colombia. The Colombian government is stating that Oxy/Ecopetrol have spent another 200 million dollars on Komodo-1. Unfortunately, it has been postponed three years because of a late submission of an environmental survey. Only three rigs in the world that can drill to these depths and Oxy is now off the drilling schedule. Funny, at APC,Komodo was touted to be an oil prospect... Reserves to rival Saudi Arabia! Ecopetrol says in their press release it is now a GAS prospect..to be used to cover their gas resource decline in country. My questions are... Has anyone thought about what a gas- subsea network would look like? Floating LNG? Is it even possible at 13000 water depth?...How much will that cost? ... These are the kind of projects that ki-l companies. So, it's not blah,blah...Something you should put your grass smoothie down and ask VH at the next company meeting.
Oxy blah blah blah. E&P blah blah blah blah. Columbia blah blah. Thanks for your thoughts.
@bfan+1w1qR51Z, someone got a lump of coal in their stocking. Cheer up!
Don't need that side of the brain for the type of work that pays the debt pile ... Oxy buys and produces proven production. Don't need the creativity required to accomplish that. Trust the drillers to drill and complete long reach lateral wells. Produce them hard till they fail and drill the next bench. The companies you point to are still truly E&P companies. They will be for the foreseeable future. Oxy is not cut from the same cloth. Their one shot at exploration in Colombia has been postponed for three years (I wonder why...)...
I have hope that this t^*d will gain momentum in the Drill Baby Drill tide next year and I can unload my position.
There are very few posts on this site. Is this company now populated with people younger than 40 who can’t do anything if there is no button to press. How in the world does this company function anymore from a technical point of view.i would guess that only about 1 in 10 engineers could solve a differential equation. I doubt it if they could even write code to make the computer perform custom engineering calculations.
But they can most likely get the frac sand delivered to the job site on time which any sub mo--n could do.
The company needs a relook at people and a look at who Exxon, ConocoPhillips, and Chevron are hiring. Follow their lead.
WTF does this last post have to do with this thread you mo--n.
@2vyx+1w1qR51Z, don’t get upset. OP is a low level admin that feels better about his job only when he can put down those more successful than he is, especially when they are his managers. If he was with another company, he’d be whining the same tune.
Please explain why you believe Oxy is not a professional company.
Like you people are anywhere close to those professional companies.
You’re boring.
Boy did you take a wrong turn and land here. If Oxy had anything meaningful to add their stock price wouldn't be $46. Going to $45...
$300/hour. 4 hour minimum, billed in advance. I'll post as many comments as you want.
