Rumor has it he is leaving to become CEO of the Waffle House, or something waffle related anyways.

Can someone from the company post here today the text of any farewell message that Chris might send out to the workforce, including anything you may know about his future plans?

Can’t believe nobody actually know where he’s going yet or the true reason for his departure.

I heard he’s going to Crown to replace Moskowitz. Apparently they found out Moskowitz never graduated from college and was run out of American Tower for putting his hand (or a relatives) in the cookie jar. Kind of crazy that the Crown board didn’t know or ignored this

Has a single person in here provided any evidence of reason for his departure? Seeing everything from fallout with top brass (can’t be right as internal announcement says he informed them of his intent); conflict of interest or ethical/legal issue (can’t be true or he wouldn’t be allowed to stay in with the company until next Friday), or he’s departing to go to AST (plausible, but internal communication doesn’t mention his reason for leaving having anything to do with seeking another opportunity). The COO comment on his departure seemed to praise him and offer a debt of gratitude.

Somebody said he sent out an e-mail to employees, but nobody has provided the text of that message. Does anyone have that here? Very curious what he had to say about his own departure.

can confirm Stankey's demeanor on 5 days and his hanging pause. no idea if Sambar left because of that. doubt it. plenty of other better reasons.

“ Can confirm the scoop on the officer meeting and Stankey basically pausing the meeting to ask all officers why 5 day RTO is not in place yet.

Huge huge furore coming, Stankey is pushing hard to get everyone in office ALL days a week starting 2025.”

Stop the gaslighting… this never happened. In fact the redesignations which occurred just a few months ago were intended to basically put this to rest as far as how many days people report. Additionally Strong rumor that Stankey will return come early 2025.

Months pay says Abel A is putting him in a very senior strategist role. Why stay at a Co that doesn't value you, and is fighting a somewhat zero sum game, when you could go to the company that has endless room to grow - and you have unique experience to enable it?

Here is the real scoop. He wanted to leave and it had been in the works for several weeks. He 100% disagreed with Stankey on RTO, culture, how he is running business into ground, He wasn’t an a-s kisser and heard plan was to move him under Legg to keep him quiet and he said He-l no. He is part of the decent and smart officer group that is leaving fast, fast, fast. Kelly King, John Dwyer, Sambar…all ethical and smart and reasonable and those are all things Stankey hated. He refused to ever let those 3 get in front of Board of a directors for fear they would disagree and blow his cover.

Finally a recent officer meeting was final straw when Stankey was basically telling all officers that they need to do even more RTO, more Surplus and that in 2025 we will be 5 days a week in office. Chris being a really great leader and refusing to play that game said….I’m outta here,

  1. The News Now email sent to NetOps employees,
  1. the company post on Insider, or
  1. Sambar's own personal email saying goodbye

Fake news until confirmed by the company

The News Now email sent to NetOps employees, the company post on Insider, and Sambar's own personal email saying goodbye pretty much confirms this is not "fake news."

Tell me, do you still believe the Earth is flat too?

he like Leggs had potential but became 'yes sir' to Stankey's orders. These individuals will soon get tired of working under a CEO that only generates new money for the business by chopping employees but no new revenue channels, zero innovation, CEO's that use fear as a form of "leadership"

FirstNet is the a farce if not fraud perpetrated on congress at the expense of true public safety grade communications. There is no innovation, just a 4G feature set that gives users a higher QoS. There is no redundancy in back haul. Same terrestrial based COs, shared infrastructure with no redundancy and limited survivability in a disaster. FirstNet is not NIPSTC compliant and is less reliable than private mobile radio systems used by public safety. Bottom line is congress had to do something to look good. Sambar (and Beugel) essentially stole 20MhZ of public safety 850MhZ band 14 for AT&Ts commercial users... major spectrum and capacity win for T... Saved $billions at spectrum auctions. What does public safety get? Cell phones and data service the exact same as a commercial AT&T user. BTW.. other carries have bigger network foot prints. In the absence of AT&T towers and signal, there is no firstnet public safety network. T's sales effort through the retail channel to First Repsonders pretty much says it all... would you like a free Apple watch with that FirstNet phone.... T and Sambar get exactly what they deserve.. bronx cheer.

You heard it here first, it was conflict of interest. With Sambar joining the AST board, a leadership position was cemented in stone for him. With him knowing how satellite is the future, he saw an opportunity and took it. Read up on what AST is doing, it will make AT&T obsolete. Just like how Starlink is eating into our share, AST will multiply it 10 fold.

"Chris Sambar:That's the plan, Roger. Direct-to-device, we call it. So straight from a satellite to an unmodified cell phone, which is code for you can use your regular phone in your pocket, and you can get a connection up to a satellite. Pretty neat technology. We've been working with AST on this for about six years now. It's been real quiet up until late September of 2022, when AST launched their first satellite, BlueWalker 3. Then we took the wraps off of it and realized, hey, this is working out great, and we're going to go big with this project. Our engineers have been working really closely together, and now we're pretty excited about what's coming in the future."

"Chris Sambar:Yeah, good question. Well, six years ago, Abel Avellan is the CEO of AST Space and Mobile, and he came to me at AT&T. We were the first carrier and I was the first person he talked to. I didn't know Abel that well back then, and he came to me and he laid out the plan. He said, here's what we're going to do. I said, that seems pretty unbelievable, Abel. Are you sure about this? But I did know that he was really smart. He's basically a satellite guy his whole life, and he's essentially a rocket scientist, really smart guy. He had done ventures similar to this with AT&T in the past around satellites. So I knew he had a track record of success as a really smart entrepreneur."

Stinky winky was too much and Chris finally said F&&k this sh$t. The company is falling apart, pi-s poor leadership anyone good is leaving or being forced out. The RTO program is wolf in sheep’s clothes.. they want people to leave.. since Stinky and Randal have made investments of buy high and sold off low.

This is what is called sudden departure. Leadership at this level ( 3rd below CEO Stankey) does not leave in less than 2 weeks without contingency in place. Something serious occurred which I can't disclose, but I will say it wasn't planned. You guys can figure it out.
