@b5
You completely misread my comment.
Read it again.

I was LR’ed and survived.

I was simply trying to provide encouragement.

Is it even over though? Did we ‘survive’? Or more notis this week

Do not relax and presume you "survived" an LR because of some value you believe you represent. You are on the Titanic waving at the people who were put in the lifeboats. Who is actually better off?

A few years ago I would have said Cisco's reputational value was neutral. Now I would say it is massively negative and getting worse, perhaps on par with IBM or even Infosys.

If you stay, you need to make peace with the fact that this is your last tech job.

BE proactive. Your action this week:

• Revive your networking pool! Reconnect with peers, previous colleagues, family friends, etc.

• Update resume

• Draft well-written and intrguing cover letter

• Apply to 3+ job postings everyday

• Most importantly, don’t let yourself drown in despair!

People are hurting and no one will want to do too much for a least a few months.
