Why the focus on H1B’s in this thread. They are a drop in the bucket compared to all the work transitions to India and other low wage countries across the world. A tariff on services provided to corporations would shut this down. But have you heard the mesiah from Mara del Lago speak of this concept? Not a peep. Why? Because this would hit the pockets of his big money donors and not help his biggest supporters.

Talking about H1Bs, it looks like they are deporting H1Bs that are unemployed and lost their contract. Previuosly, they would stay for months until they get a new gig.
No, no, no.
He'll bring the low wages back to the US of A!!!
All straightened out.
Even the H1Bs, after buying nice cars in America, are now complaining about the Outsourcing to CST Time South America fiasco.
That's how bad the outsourcing situation is!
I like the return to the office and only flying the real flag rules
India keeps buying oil from Russia
India is not on the list for "tariffs" at least not yet.
According to AI, it might: A tariff is a tax on imported goods or services. Tariffs are a form of foreign trade regulation, and are used to protect domestic industries, promote foreign policy goals, and generate revenue.
Offshored services like in the GBCs or BTCs will become more expensive, to what extent, we will find out.
Lmao!! @ OP.
"'I never thought leopards would eat MY face,' sobs woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party."
He will defer to President Musk.
@b2+1jj2pk8p4 Because we’ve all seen this movie before
At least H1B's were contributing with Social Security and Medicare (through their W2 paycheck).
Nearshore / Remote labor?
None.
I guess their focus now will be to train Managers of Nearshore teams.
Why so negative?
Hope so. But probably not.
Oil & Gas Lobbyist are making sure unethical outsourcing continues.
100% No.
H1B control is meaningless as the new candy of corp america is remote / nearshore labor (no visa needed and way cheaper than h1b)
Trump didn’t do much to address offshoring during his first term, despite his promises to bring jobs back to America. On top of that, influential figures like Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy openly praise the work ethic of H1B visa holders, highlighting their preference for outsourcing and foreign labor. With this, it seems unlikely that significant measures will be taken to curb offshoring jobs to low-wage countries. The focus continues to prioritize global talent and cost-cutting over protecting domestic employment.
No, he’ll launch more crypto coins, saber rattle allies, sign a bunch of executive orders centered around ‘culture wars’ that won’t do anything, make sure brown folks get hassled by law enforcement, and give billionaires tax breaks.
I can't imagine just how huge the opportunities will be for BTC folks in the brave new 'drill baby drill' world...
No.
Lol no.
