Why are they leaving us in the dark. They should have already announced the next round? One would think no news is good news but with the way business has been there is no way we are safe.

No one is hiding anything from you. These are legal negotiations.
@b0
Columbia Place in Columbia, SC, right?
@b0 after the sale is final they give them about a year to vacate
for us it was 10 months after the sale on the building
They tell their employees 6 months in advance like they did with us we closed in march
Round 2 of the closures are tight lipped. No one is safe except the R125 stores.
@ee So they are going to make us suffer on though another holiday season? Yea yea, if your so miserable leave...thats what they want us to do. I earned my severance and I will ride it out but why the delay. It costs more for my store to be open than it's bringing in!

@b1 how long after your building is for sale would you say they announce closure
This company is always full of surprises, expect the unexpected.
We had Jump Zone in taking measurements in our store. Our store manager acted soooo surprised like she knew nothing about it. We’ve been on the list, cuts have been made, stock levels are lacking… she knows nothing…she got transferred to a store 50 miles away…she definitely knows something…Macy’s is so shady when it comes to this stuff.
….and there has been surveyors outside our building for the past week. Still no peep from the company. Where is the hospitality? Where is the sheer courtesy to your employees who need to plan what’s next.
Let me tell you how this company operates. There was a local news report that our store’s building (which we own) was purchased and we have not heard anything from the company and it’s been at least a month. It’s disgusting how they are treating employees
