Thread regarding Morgan Stanley layoffs

The process

How are people being notified? Do you receive an email or is there a meeting with your manager? Or something else? I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I've never been through a layoff before.

  1. I was the highest paid in my team. I was making similar to the people above my title. A few people got hired in EU where salaries are usually lower.
  1. My projects were being handed over to other employees
  1. I was not a part of future long lasting projects. I was just being given ad-hoc work

Manager would set up a meeting or call with HR present. If nothing has happened until now, probably you're safe.
