Why am I seeing LinkedIn posts of people who're celebrating joining Intel?

Fresh meat.
Need to hire more VPs to clean up the mess of the last ones. Lets keep all old timers too why not
@b0 Nope. Intel job board shows new reqs being posted daily.
RCG ‘s ——For the First Year, the money comes from corporate. So it does not impact the departments budget for the first year.
Intel never stops hiring RCGs and the school year just ended so welcome the graduates...
Most of the people starting now were hired back in Jan/Feb.
New reqs have been frozen for a while now.
I don't believe OP trusts what he reads on LI.
Chickens to the sla-ghter...
Layoff will not have cost saving or reduce headcount. 4 new people were hired while one was laidoff. It will cost more budget and lose experience and knowledge. It is just a silly way for Intel, for those leaders who do not know what to do.
Out with the old (expensive) and in with the new (cheap). At a 4% raise (average) over a 20 year span… someone hired in 2005 earning a reasonable starting wage of $85k (Masters with some experience) would be at $185K base in 2025. Bonuses on top of that. So many old timers are in this pay category and will find out they can be replaced for somebody at $35-50K less per year.
The new hire cost less than you and they are probably being hired into core business groups that need talent.
Cost. Even in same location. Managers are asked to control the budget of hiring people. They can laid off a staff and hire a new graduate and at same time promote a senior with lower salary increase
