Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Idk about you guys but…

It’s getting harder and harder to get up and go be lied to/ignore the obvious impending doom four days a week. How about not even letting us WFH around Thanksgiving and Christmas? They stripped us of any sort of nice little perks we had and expect us to blindly keep on keeping on. Being treated like a stupid child is exhausting.

@2zim+1oPlhnUX The toothpaste is out of the tube. Things are never going back to the old “normal.” The boomer/Gen-X office obsession is going the way of the dinosaurs. Only dinosaurs are actually cool, cubes not so much.

Folks the pandemic is over (or never existed depending on what side of the fence you're on) and the country is almost back to normal. WFH being the "new normal" was a crack pipe dream and I can't believe how many people actually believed it wasn't temporary. Even Zoom eventually asked it's people to return to the office.

Frankly I'd trade the last 2 years of WFH for the pandemic to never have occurred, avoid the global economic disruption and have my friends and family that died from covid back.

We really are a bunch of spoiled first world kids.

Why do I care so much?

  • I have bills to pay

We should have a No Show November! Cant fire us all and we can ride PTO and severance until we find a new gig. My "leadership" team has no idea how to do their job, much less mine. Backlog would be a mess by Christmas, maybe then they would hire some folks to help me from working 12 hour days 6 days a week! My hourly rate is basically minimum wage!

We are pretty much working to rule in Central region. No one cares anymore. JP and Karen can continue to drive their meaningless KPIs and lie to us daily. We don’t care. Can’t fire us all.

Why do you care so much, Crown doesn’t. Do just the bare minimum and if they have a problem they will put you on a PIP then you get fired. You have at least 3 months of not doing any work before there are consequences.
