Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Getting lowball offers

Is it just me or is this something I should accept as the new normal amid all the layoffs?

Couldn’t stop laughing today while watching the webcast. These interns are def working for a different ncr than the rest of us. Or may be they were asked to say this.

@azc+1n8Pqnkq - Any intern that accepts a position with all they can see is going on in the company and how they treat employees should have their head examined or just consider themselves stupid or lazy. You're in the prime of your life and earning potential. Why would you align yourself with a losing company with no security what so ever? Get out there and get a job with a winner that truly cares about their people, offers real advancement and possibly a pension. You can accomplish this with any city, state or federal position. Bottom line there is no future at NCR just misery and sacrifice with will certainly affect your personal life. For what ? To see some 60 year old mullet growing id--t and his cronies fill their pockets and run ? You deserve a better chance at a future, now get busy.

Why not ask those just let go for their opinions. The interns have no clue about the real NCR, they are being used as naive mouthpieces for upper management.
They seem to be VERY catered to and are enjoying all kinds of positive treatment. As CE’s we have little to no interaction with managers, managers do not just approach us with career advancement opportunities out of the blue, work/life balance has been a joke. Are these interns working every weekend? Are they on call for a week straight every couple weeks?

The image presented today was a slap in the face to long term employees. Guess things are much different in the ivory tower of GHQ.

If the interns are hired to full time.
In 2-5-7 years they should bring these same interns back, front stage on the all hands in front of the exec team, and ask the same questions. Pass the mic and don’t hold back. Let me make some popcorn 🍿

Not every company is low balling, just the ones that are not worth working for.

Who spiked the kool-aid for the interns? Career advancement, family friendly, NCR cares, Bull Cr-p. Today’s NCR is an uncaring meat grinder.

You are too old. If you heard the interns on all-hands they are raving about how much opportunity of career advancement, how family oriented NCR is, how much NCR cares about their work and the culture.

Lots of tech talent on the market. Demand is much less than it was 1-2 years ago. Challenging economics on the horizon. Stay positive best you can.
