If our taxes bought 10% of Intel, we want the next chip free. Interesting thing to think about?

@b7 It is managers like you that destroyed Intel - you should be give the death penalty or life imprisonment in alligator alcatraz.
@az I was a GS13 engineer for the government before I joined Intel in 2000. I was very surprised to realize that there was much more bureaucracy within Intel than there was in the government. Also the government retirement systems isn't that great. CSRS wasn't bad but it cut over to FERS in the mid 80s. It is essentially 1/3 social security, 1/3 401k, and 1/3 a pension. Intel's 401k was much better. The healthcare at Intel was far better than the government.
Man you guys ruined this one prestigious company
Grade 8s are now GS14s. You get to keep the same health insurance and you get way better retirement.
I don't believe OP knows how to maths.
Ami missing something? How is it a good idea for the government to own any part of a competitive enterprise?
The government can make rules against the competitors in its own interests
The money printing press owns them 💵 💲 💸
The government didn’t pay for it. They were given 10% of the company, at a 20% discounted stock price, for absolutely nothing.
In Russia when the Government owned the means of production they got free rent and random truckloads of Kvass. I think a free AI chip for each home per year would pacify the serfs.
I mean sure, but our taxes have gone to pay Congress way longer than they have to build Intel silicon. How’s the ROI on that one working out for the average ‘Murcan?
