A chainsaw is being taken to this company. Literally, dismantling it. It’s difficult to watch.

Take a look at the latest job postings in India and Mexico. It's a glaring sign of what's being offshored next. Town halls and meetings have been buzzing all week with whispers from upper management that something big is coming. It makes me sick to see these fake a-s bosses laughing and carrying on while people are losing their jobs right next to them. F Off and take your Panera Bread and shove it.

@kz+1jmdh2r5s - Those at the top (Steve, Rachal, Ramon, Athina, etc.) literally don't care about what they keep or outsource. It's all about the balance sheet and shareholders. They just point, and it's someone else's problem. If they complain it's not doable, they'll fire that person and find another who won't complain. That's the world these people. You're a financial number only to them and nothing more. You can try to rationalize it all you want and believe you give blood, sweat, and tears to this company for 10, 15, 20 years. The company owes you. They couldn't give a flip about your time here!

“Moving these roles to IBM AND offshore is going to be a disaster in the long run. This is a bad move and poor decision making by Pepsi. Quality of service will be gravely impacted.”

You forget that overtime is free (on the salaried HC left behind in the business) - they can just deal with the endless cycle of ticket logging, closure without resolution, and customer satisfaction surveys with an extra hour or two each day!

@gt+1jmdh2r5s - IBM's process for T&T is 6-12 mos. to train off-shore resources depending on the complexity of creating the playbooks. IBM has teams 100% dedicated to T&T (Transition and transformation). They may keep 1-2 people only (leadership). They will NOT integrate anyone into the IBM long-term plan. This is sad, but the clock is ticking.

PepsiCo IBM Plano Tx Winston Salem jobs being “relocated “. THIS is what we were told Where?? Oh you don’t Know? When?? Oh you don’t know?
Why?? Oh you don’t know that either??
Am I fired?? Oh you don’t have any other details ??
Why do they think we are so incompetent that we can not figure out what is actually happening AGAIN.. yes AGAIN. A literal repeat of 2013
Here are the rumors which at this point is all we have to go on
This DOES AFFECT PepsiCo and I BM Teams
They ARE moving jobs to Mexico and India
Everyone’s jobs are affected
PepsiCo IBM Contract is not going away PEP gave IBM MORE jobs
One of the contracting agencies told everyone that they could be offered jobs thru PepsiCo (how if they are also getting rid of their people) and IBM
IF you believe THAT I have a whole book of stories from Mother Goose you may be interested in hearing.
All in all they told everyone they may or may not have jobs for an undisclosed period of time they will let us know when they get more details
Everyone is crying anxiety ridden how are they going to pay rent mortgage feed their kids etc
Leaving people with confusion and anxiety is a pi-s poor way to treat people that have been dedicated workers ki-ling themselves day after day to meet the ever growing demands that were made upon them!
All to what be told you have c amt of time to train your offshore replacements
Good luck with that!

Follow up on @az+1jmdh2r5s post, this is about the only article I can find related to the Liberty NY plant closure.

There's also a local statement from village of Liberty and Sullivan county leaders, found here and also posted in the article.

I did see at least 4 people walking out of Plano HQ at 9am yesterday as I was walking in. I found it odd they were leaving so early with their bags/backpacks.

100% agree on how quiet. Very odd, especially given the candor from Rachel in her email.

The lack of chatter here worries me… normally there’s so many posts during these times. I’m hearing about all of these actions across the company (corporate and sector) yet seeing and feeling nothing. It’s just really uncomfortable.
