Finally there is corporate talk of shuttering for the remaining days of April. The good news is that all schedules will remain effective, so the stores will have all employees do a massive 2–3 week store overhaul. If you feel sick and have sick time, you will be able to opt out through normal sick and absence policies. There will be no need to deal with the ridiculously busy unemployment claims offices which have been worthless. You won't have a disruption in pay and there will be plenty to do(far more than 2-3 weeks worth). The stores will be bright and shiny when May 1st comes around. So Good for you Marvin...I Guess

Local health department? What exactly does that mean? Pick a state and show me where you contact them, I'm sure the others will have the same info in roughly the same place.
Source or it’s a lie.
I'm pretty sure this is a rumor. It is now 4/19 and they are continuing to have block buster sales to lure even more people in. Everyone here should contact their local health department and report them for encouraging an unsafe environment. They are NOT an essential business and most of the customers are coming because they are bored and shopping for essential stuff like mulch and flowers! It's ridiculous!
Lowes is closing its stores for the rest of April. The announcement will be made on May 1st.
Here in Vero Beach it’s business as usual. Customers aren’t staying home. They’re buying non-essential products and are rude and demanding.
Waiting for one of few that are working to get sick. Myself, I’m exhausted from the stress and selfishness of the customers.
This would be a great idea at my store, we are running one person per department except on the front end, we have lumber and garden shut down with all the cashiers at customer service or registers.
Those on the floor can’t get the freight put away, we had two trucks yesterday, the first was brought out to the sales floor and was still sitting there when the second truck came out in the evening.
Won’t happen. It may have been something that’s been discussed and honestly it wouldn’t be a bad idea to close the stores and use the employees to complete a lot the sales floor and customer service resets that are coming but I can’t see it happening. Not just from Lowe’s stand point. A lot of the companies that were shut down are trying to find ways to open back up. I can’t see any company that is remotely open, let alone flourishing like Lowe’s and a few others, completely closing and operating at loss for several weeks.
This post is the funniest I’ve ever seen!
Lowe’s is enjoying record sales. They will NOT shut off the Revenue Steaming in. And why would they? If you believe they’re going to close to clean the stores I want whatever you’re smoking! LOL
Won’t happen, the warehouses are full getting 2 trucks per day and Lowe’s needs to unload the merchandise. Thier is not much to do in the stores without customers After 2 days the stores would be tip top.
This is so not true :( it’s just a rumor
