Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Chuck The Kn!fe....

... is back in town!

Hearing the cut this time could be 10-12%. Any truth? The management in UK is very conspicuously silent on the numbers. Not a peep out of the SE Director or from behind the VP's beard.

It is who you know on Cisco and if you support them. Speak up against something and you're toast!

Chuck is already checked out. He made his millions by pretending to turn Cisco's existing software maintenance revenue into a software business. He failed to deliver any actual innovation so he's getting ready to bail out before the company goes down in flames.

What’s the total percentage that got LRed last week and maybe next week? Anyone know? I thought that was what the OP was asking not just for a specific Org.

To the OP. In the UK if there are more than 20 planned LRs at a work site in directory (BL for example) then a 90 day collective consultation has to be carried out by law. So any UK LRs so far must be quite small in number. At least so far, a mass LR could be announced at any moment.

changes coming to the technical field I have heard over next year or so and will to be restructured because presales technical costs too much so they say. This will happens globally and across alls technical roles.
Senior managements out of touch with what the TSA, SE and SA community have to do to keep the $$ coming in. They not know nothings about technology and engineerings. The se Lions led by donkeys. SE is layer that hides so much sh-t from Cisco senior management's with all the broken processes and makes Cisco keeps working. SE is the base of pyramid, take it away and cisco will falls down. Previous senior management undstanding that but I think these days ELT do not care, only thing that matter is this Q numbers and if they decimate SE to make 2024 look goods they wills do it. If young and earlier in career I would gets out of Cisco. Shame cos Cisco do some good stuffs.

Disgusting how they time these with big events where they pay big names bigger money to talk about how great Cisco is. WebexOne anyone? They're called out for it every time at the all hands and they still do it.
