Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Who's is Ford vehicles are so outdated?

I recently stopped by some dealerships to check out some midsize SUVs. As I looked at Kia, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, GM, Ford, the vehicles from Ford is so outdated and expensive. Kia and Hyundai are top on my list with quality, performance, pricing, style, and technology. The dealership service is similar to Lexus dealership. I got myself a Kia Telluride. What a beautiful car with 3 rows seats, top quality, smooth, quiet, and good price as well.

it's all they know... outdated vehicles. Kinda like the outdated thinking they are using with the RTO mandatory actions. No worries - their hopes of attracting young workers won't go as planned. The youngsters will come in, squat at Ford for a couple years, and then jump ship.

@dr+1jvf43tnf the nitrogen in the tires thing is such a strange thing. i thought it went away. dealers gonna deal tho. the air we breathe and that are in normal tires is already 78% nitrogen haha.

Why would anyone want to buy a Ford Escape when you can get a CRV, RAV4, Sportage, Rogue for a better price, better quality, better fue economy, better technology, and better style, more attractive. 2025 Escape still the same as the 2020 Escape. No improvement.

@d5+1jvf43tnf - great car, bad dealers - at least the ones in my area. Wanted a CRV and the dealer wanted to add useless $$ sh-t to car - like nitrogen in the tires. I’m still searching for a good dealer.

explorer would be a great car, except that ecoboost sh-t, it lags so much, why no v8 option is beyond me.

Worked at Ford for 30+ years. My wife needed a new SUV - We looked at Ford EcoSport, Escape, Explorer, along with GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, KIA. We ended up with a Honda CRV. When we made this decision I thought Ford was done - The service, performance and value couldn’t be ignored. I really hate to admit this.

35 years ago the American cars are were ok because other foreign vehicles has poor quality. After 2015, American cars are no longer good. Japanese, Korean, and Chinese vehicles are more ch better quality.

OP..

It's one of two things

Either all the GSRs are a bunch of lazy and worthless people who don't want to make this company better

OR....

This company is run by a bunch of blithering id--ts.

I've been pondering and can't figure out which.
