Exactly this. Management claims they want feedback and that meetings are for “listening to employees” then proceed to dominate the meeting, dismiss any real concerns, and twist everything into how it affects them. The result? Line-level employees stop speaking up because it’s clear nothing changes. Then leadership acts shocked when morale is in the gutter.

If you care about your professional growth or mental health, start looking elsewhere. This place is toxic and absolutely counterproductive to career development.

A lot of management is so bad that all they can do is keep something going that their predecessors set into motion. As soon as something breaks they are clueless as how to fix it. Provide feedback saying there needs to be improvement of any kind and you go on their enemy list.

Speaking out on projects is no longer ok either. Manager: Do what I say. Employee: Ok (despite being the SME but needing the job for now).

@OP yes, or they throw a “change resistant” label on you. How dare you put the patient first or care about the customer experience? We only care about saving money here.
