But I wasn’t. I’d been bracing for this for months, telling myself I’d be fine. That I could handle it. But now that it’s real, it hits differently. Logically, I know it’s not a reflection of my worth. I know it happens. But emotionally? It still hurts. I do have a few possibilities lined up, and I’m hopeful, but nothing’s certain yet. And that uncertainty weighs on me too. Being laid off messes with you, no matter how much you saw it coming, or what else you have going for you.

Normal in this industry for it to happen to everyone at least once, I've been there. You will recover and move forward to better things. You must have good qualities to have worked with Intel in the first place.
It will get quiet, which is the worst part IMO. Try to find some joy in things you like to do or learn, and try to evaluate and cut costs. Today's job hunt seems like a black hole for resumes and cover letters.
