Businesses pivoting from China but few wind up in India

Very interesting read....it's not as Alvind, Krabanaugh and the Pipmunks would have you believe, about the wonders of India but the reality of doing business there :

Maybe all those H1B visa holders are not such a good bet after all, despite how cheap they claim to be.... Alvind is full of garbage to say what he does on his calls; but then again, he has a 100 million reasons to be full of bull. No other employee of IBM has that many reasons...

As the saying goes, you have to walk before you can run.

It took Japan and China a good 30 to 40 years each before they could be considered serious manufacturing contenders. They each went through their "low cost" stage, and now China is working on getting into mid to high price stuff.

India has a lot to prove before it can get into complex manufacturing. It's got an excellent start with their pharmaceutical industry, so it's not like they have no skills. As far as IBM goes, IBM has other fish to fry before worrying about India.

Excellent point and... it's an American company listed on the US stock exchange, not the India Stock exchange (National Stock Exchange Of India). So, why are Alvind and Krabanaugh pulling the wool over everyone's' eyes and pretending that they are doing an excellent job by throwing US employees out and under the proverbial bus ? Is there a Ponzi scheme in the making, Krabanaugh ?

how about just hiring the americans that created these companies in the first place
instead of shoveling money upwards to skillless executives and 'investors' who don't make anything

Replacing hard working Chinese workers with lazy Indian cheaters is not good for business, better look at South American workers.
