Why is a man leading this call? All you can see is his face on the screen. He is controlling the dialogue and trying to relate to women’s experiences. So sad UHC and Optum. But typical of this company.

Just find leaders with courage and rational vision that can do the job .
Who was the guy?
Why do we have this cr-p? Let me do my job and leave me alone!
@ar because the women refuse to promote us men. They promote their buddies. They also find ways to get rid of those they’re threatened by. Whereas most guys don’t have time nor the care for such nonsense.
I know the downvotes are coming.... Bit here it goes. Women represent a vast disproportion of leadership at this company. I'm looking at my org chart, and 5 layers up, it's all women. Within those layers, it's 80% women.
Out of all of the top employees that I personally know at this company, they are all men, but hardly any are in leadership.
Take that as you will.... Optum not doing so well....
@OP I 100% did not attend the call for that reason alone. I saw the announcement in the community come thru this morning and said “No thanks.” Nothing like being mansplaned to in a women specific community and content.
My reaction was gross
This is the d-mbest thing Optum did this week.
Which is actually saying a lot.
I obviously have zero faith in the drunks, criminals, and sycophants in the C Suite to understand this is deeply fu---d up.
But I’m super stunned at the dude who they picked to host it. He didn’t think that this was a bad choice? I know if I was asked to do it, I’d 100% ask that a woman take my place. Happy to help the host however I can behind the scenes, but no one wants to hear from a crusty old white guy like me on a women’s history call.
Straight up gross.
