FIS has officially ended active sales of its Modern Banking Platform, once positioned as the strategic replacement for IBS and Horizon.

At the same time, MISER is being rebranded as AffinityEdge. These moves create serious uncertainty for banks and credit unions running on Horizon, IBS, or MISER.

FIS sent out a memo saying it was not correct.

@vf MBP has very many team members not bots at all.

I agree some of MBP is dogsh--, our older code is foul to look at. Sime of the newer solutions are as well.

But there are some bright team members that have been reconciling all of that.

The missing context is this
all of the people developing and supporting it have been RIFd, but it is still being sold to new customers

(i.e. the new FIS playbook)

@r4 What was the 'missing context'?
I am a subscriber to the Cornerstone newsletter, and this is what was advertised before it was taken down. Crouching behind the word 'actively' is very misleading AT BEST. Outright lie at worst.

Isn't that just all consolidated under bots

Modern banking platform is joke. There is nothing modern about it. Rather it’s a pile of dogshit packaged and sold as caviar.

@r2 FWIW, I'm the consultancy id--t referenced above. There was some missing context in the original post. Modern Banking is still being developed; still being sold.

Classic FIS Boondoggle. The company execs have no clue of what market wants or how it has shifted.

They can’t develop it, keep marketing as next big thing since sliced bread, no customers 100s of millions sunk in product with nothing to show.
All execs are waiting to cash out on next vesting and McKinsey is running the show

It’s not the consultancy id--t, it’s you !

FIS is not stopping development on the Modern Banking Platform. Some context is missing, but the essence is that it's still being sold and developed.

@an resurrecting into Affinity Edge is good news, because MISER is a really powerful product that has been the target of Cornerstone because of their affinity/alliance with Jack Henry who is a direct competitor.

Seems like these id--ts at Cornerstone already took down the article / webinar. I’m sure they heard from FIS moments after this rumor started.

LOL MBP has not stopped sales, it is being sold. I have a friend in the consulting space who worked on pricing models two months ago for a carve-out acquisition. This was for a publicly traded company. Hasn't progressed (for that company) but discussions were held.

@dg are the GM’s for each of the cores still around?

Pure click bait!!! This is not true at all. There are some Exec level changes but nothing is changing with the GTM of the product. Shocked that a consultancy could make up something to sound “official” just to drive participation in a 30 min webinar. Crazy, has to be illegal.

A bit sus. This consulting company is the only source for this rumor. It sounds like a marketing play for new clients. But then again, who knows?

@ar That is the point, Leadership is not communicating, they want staff to stay and support the clients, until the move off and then are you gone, if not before.

I don't know anything about the MBP side, but MISER being rebranded to AffinityEdge has been known for a while now, at least to those involved with MISER I would hope. (I'm not on their teams, but work with them a lot)

No global comms on it though.
