From what I heard it was 100+ Field Reps and 10+ Managers across LMP/NPM and NSI. Every market lost 1-2 reps. That adds a huge workload in NPM factoring drive times even when remote work capability is considered. Absolutely insane for $40-60k a year.

Between MR/FR, Stat Research, TS, ROC, SM Validation Team etc they’ve basically gutted the support staff.

If it’s any consolation to those lost today, your homes are already calling in and complaining and requesting NTOs for the rep changes. Nielsen will see immediate repercussions, and once the last of the US PRS team is gone, the homes will continue to NTO due to the changes.

@aq This is my honest (could be completely wrong) opinion. They are going to go completely mailed equipment. They will sign a plethora of homes via phone contact. Yeah many will fault, fail, etc. But that’s the thing, they will have so many homes that it could possibly offset the problem homes. At that point they will probably just hire contractors to fix homes that need some customer service or something.

So much for Nielsen Values. I got laid off today after 20+ years as a field rep. I'm still going through the motions. I wish Mr. AC Nielsen was alive today to see what these greedy executives have done to his creation.

Fu-k Nielsen. As an active FR, I've already been looking for jobs, and today's layoffs are pushing me to try harder in leaving ASAP, and I hope this company gets burned to the fu--ing ground for how they have treated their employees. I'm done trying harder for the higher IP, I'm done trying harder to fix a fault or flag within the same week. Whatever. They don't wanna work hard to keep my job safe or to show me they care, then I can reciprocate that towards them. This round of layoffs was my last fu-k given towards execs and the higher ups. Fu-k every one of them, shame on them. Kiss a-s bi--hes.

I find it hard to believe they think this plan will work. You’re firing field force which means other reps will absorb that impact directly, which in turn will burn them out and cause them to go out on LOA or quit… what am I missing here Karthik and his evil squad?

@OP we had 4 FRs in our market and now we have 3 and no manager. How are 3 people supposed to manage 425+ homes? Maybe all the money they’re saving and salaries will now be available for client rebates.

Frustrated Elf here- "Let it de! Let it de! Let it shrivel up and d*e! "

Very sorry to the Field teams being impacted. I know the negative impact it will have on those who still remain....for now. To quote an infamous man named Tom on TMZ, "Hindsight is 20/20", congratulations on being free from toxic decisions made by awful & greedy people.
