Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Are you still eligible to get the CIP for 2020 if you leave voluntarily this year? (not by EOI, layoff or retirement))

Need to know if I will get the bonus next march >:)

Yes it’s rule of 75 or left standing or EOI- if one meets any of these

Actually, the rule of 75 is not applicable in this workforce transformation. I was plan to leave Chevron last year (2019) at year end and advise to wait until EOI efforts were later in 2020. I wanted to collect my CIP this year, but did not meet rule of 75 and hung around to this to collect. Was advised by HR taking accelerated EOI in May, I would be eligible for prorated CIP for 2020, not applicable to rule 75, given workforce reduction was company wide.

you ONLY get CIP award as follows, The 75 rule

Add the numbers of years worked at Chevron + 60

if sum is over 75 you get it, otherwise too bad, That said I don't believe it will be very much next year so don't count on it.

@amn, sorry to hear that by your own criteria you will be one of those left standing. Good luck.

some people just answer with out knowing.....those are the ones that will be left standing.
You can not get the CIP payout if you quit (not EOI'ed) the year before. That is why a lot of people give their 2 weeks notice after March 7, not January 1st.

Yes, you will get a prorated CIP based on how long you were here. Now, thats not to say there might not be much of a CIP next year and managers will give the higher CIPs to the people that stayed

You will not be elegible. Employees need to be on payroll when the bonus is paid out.
