Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

NSI

My supervisor made me change my PA in CC over a zoom call and then they ended up giving me NSI. The supervisor said even if I submitted what I had, the outcome would have been the same. Has anyone experienced this before? I feel like I was set up and should get legal involved.

EM uses CC to document the PIP and progress to potentially build a case against you. The PDS form is the only mechanism you have to document your contributions as you see them. Treat the 2 minute speech as independent.

Your PDS isn’t actually used in the ranking, and is owned by your boss.

So, no… this is entirely irrelevant. They’re free to put whatever THEY want.

If you’re worried about this, you’re working for the wrong company. Exxon does NOT care how you feel.

This happens all the time to ensure your “accomplishments” and “strengths” align to meet the narrative of what ranking they gave you in order to protect the company from future civil lawsuits. Your ranking does not usually align with your actual abilities.

I know a situation where super pulled things off of one persons pds and gave to another. The one guy didn’t fight it cuz he was scared of repercussions.

Remember Legal and HR represent and protect the company. Not you.

What does “CC” mean?|

@a7 I think the OP meant that the supervisor asked the person to change the PDS form inputs like accomplishment, strengths and development. That would be highly unusual to do in July after the PA session was over.

Your comment doesn’t make sense. You can’t change your own PA in CC. It’s provided by HR on your PDS after the PA is completed.
