Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

LinkedIn posts are fake and unbelievable

Some of the posts I’ve seen lately feel like they’re from another planet. Over-the-top celebrations about “incredible culture” and “once-in-a-lifetime leadership” while we’re quietly trimming teams behind the scenes. It’s not even subtle anymore. It's a joke, is what it is.

It's a joke got to attract the young talent to live up to their business BS. PepsiCo loves hiring the young and getting rid of seasoned Adults

Of course. Management is running just as scared, so they create those wonderful posts (usually from their trips to India) and hope everyone thinks they bleed blue. A very wise woman told me that Pepsi will never love me back, and she was 100% correct.

@am PR firms won’t cover up failed leadership across the board and toxic culture! It's not enough to dress a pig in a beautiful dress to suddenly make it a desirable princess!

@ag well said! I used to love the all hands on deck yammer post during a Holiday. The KAM would look at the dashboard see how long the merchandiser was there then race to the store by there house for a photo in the trade to have validation that he or she helped LOL. Granted it’s not their job to help as we should have enough feet on the street like our competition. When was the last time you saw a KO person RT riding with there team as I have never seen it. Or even a KO KAM helping in a store Yet still a requirement by us.

Fun fact, execs hire PR firms with company dollars to write those posts for them.

Yeah DPA & S&T are the perfect example of toxic and sick work culture yet their leaders keep posting how their departments are simply a land of milk and honey and everlasting career opportunities! Sick jokes!

These are the same posturing dingdongs that would create the illlusion of productivity by posting incessantly on Yammer

In the years leading up to retirement - my (under-qualified) manager would cite my refusal to post on Yammer as a reason she rated me at 3 vs 4 …. I responded that customers don’t give a flyingphock about Yammer, and while she’s occupied posting obligatory “WAY TO GO” replies and posing in pics in front of stuff she didn’t do - our team was busy fire-fighting / addressing operational eff ups that threatened strategic relationships ….

LinkedIn has always been a vapid waste of time, to be avoided like the plague unless you absolutely need to use it.

LinkedIn is a steaming pile. Just a useless site with narcissists and virtue signaling egomaniacs constantly patting themselves on the back and exaggerating their pitiful and menial accomplishments. " I'm happy to share that blah blah blah...", or “Wow, look at me, I just got this meaningless certification, I must be great. This journey to this has taught me resilience, patience, blah blah blah” . When every little step is rewarded by thousands of insincere applause by an army of delusional egomaniacs you know we are setting ourselves up for low standards.
