Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

PepsicoBeverages

Not hit by restructure on corporate HQ side, just plants and frontline?
Receiving full bonus at beverage HQ?
Is that actually true?

Oh boo hoo about your bonuses. How about giving the grunts on the Frontline in the stores doing all the hard work a bonus?

If you’re not a VP or on track to become one, get the he-l out of this company!

The bonuses for a KAM or RSM are, what, 12-16k per year take-home? That’s a disaster.

You can snag that kind of money anywhere these days. These jobs paid the same 20 years ago when 20k actually meant something. Now it’s a total joke…

I’d bet the VP gigs su-k just as much, except they’re pocketing in one year what the rest of us scrape together in 20-plus years.

Pepsico acquired FritoLay in 1965.
not in the early 2000s. Please do the math.

You have royally sc--wed employees who loved working there and now they have to find a new job and that really su-ks you should have told them upfront and not done it the way you did I always drank pepsi but not anymore you have lost alot of customers

Bonuses are given to most middle management as a compensation incentive, it's an excuse for them to offer salaries that are mediocre at best, so yes if there is a risk that we won't index at 100 (meaning receive the bare minimum expected bonus) people are going to want to plan their own finances.

To those thinking that bonus eligible employees are wealthy, consider that most middle management office jobs offer bonuses no matter the size of the company. You could get one too if you worked for a smaller company that actually needs and appreciates the folks on payroll who are keeping the ship moving forward.

Spin off beverages. This grand experiment of that twit Indra has failed.

Casing point. Look at Yum any spin off has done far better because of good focus leadership. Here it has been self glorifying id--ts running the shop.

Force Fritos and beverage to seperate. Both will do better.

Come on over to the Frito side where our bonuses are flowing through like normal! Maybe instead of pushing the sugar water during all of your 5 for 10 sales you should make something healthy that the public actually wants to purchase?

Yes they took our bonuses away years ago. Nothing but very small raises since.

Had my review today. Got a 4 and a 5% raise. Something about differentiated merit or something which was 2% and merit increase of 3%. Bonus was 3%.

You’re bonused from L7 up. Not everyone who gets a bonus is a millionaire. Lighten up Francis.

@cz+1jmxc4c73 Unintentional, but yes, I see your point.

The reality is that no one knows about bonuses until they hit next week. Everything until then is just conjecture.

To the person tired of people worrying about their bonuses - happy for you that you're a multi-millionaire but, just like not everyone got laid off, not everyone is wealthy. You've just acted like the very people that you're complaining about.

@cs+1jmxc4c73 - While I understand your sentiment and call for sensitivity over those that have lost their jobs, everyone at Pepsi is impacted in some way, shape or form - whether it's a bonus, a layoff, increases, etc. It's not unrealistic for people to want to understand their own impact while also remaining sympathetic to those that were impacted differently.

Had my review, got a 4, but only a 1.3% raise. I got higher prorated raises back when I was out on maternity leave. Bonus-never had one.

I’m not worried about someone asking about their bonus, I’m annoyed. So many people lost their jobs last week, the worried bonus poster should be happy they still have a job! That’s a person that can’t read the room. The New York Pop Corners plant is closing in June, those employees have a lot more to be worried about. Every non-bonused person I know rolls their eyes at those complaining and crying over a smaller than expected bonus. You/they should be happy that you are getting anything at all in this current climate. I mean honestly, bonuses should be cancelled altogether given the current state of the business.

No nerve hit at all. Ironically that is why I feel like you posted this. Someone must have hit a nerve with YOU because again, why is a multi millionaire worried about someone worrying about a bonus? I know it's a tough question to answer for you because it makes no sense

@ak+1jmxc4c73 I think I hit a nerve, you must be getting a small bonus this year, so angry.

You're retiring a multi millionaire but worried about people caring about their bonus? Also inquiring about a bonus has absolutely nothing to do with the way a person spends money. Back to my original point though, why on earth is a proclaimed multi millionaire worried about someone on the internet asking about their bonus???

So tired of people worried about their bonuses. You do know that not everyone gets a bonus. If you’re so worried about your bonus, you must be living above your means. And before someone says I’m jealous, I’m actually retiring as a multi-millionaire, never got a bonus, just good saving and investing!
