If you hate it at NCR, why are all still here?

For me, best pay for minimal physical labor. Didn’t need to learn to code, keep up to date on security patches and viruses or keeping up to speed with new ms server and Active Directory versions. Skill needed is basic at best, (I’ve lost and not used more knowledge learned prior to ncr than gained in my years here) because it’s easy. Not digging trenches, or running pipe, or feeding copper, or hammering your thumbs and pays damn close to many of those professions. I will say hours suck!! But that’s work, we sell pieces of your life one hour at a time. Most guy I meet bi-----g are a bunch of unskilled pre madonas that do half the work. I have some 30/40 year coworkers who can’t operate their own laptop and smartphone, but want more money??? like bruh we work in IT you’re embarrassing us… and cover your a-s crack when bending we ain’t plumbers!

Here's a tip for @ajga+1jYpTxEK. Don't answer the phone and make sure your voicemail is full and can't record a message. If not then if you do get a call and can't avoid answering then you're "out of town" and won't arrive home till the very early am.

I hope someone can clarify this for me. If I am scheduled off on a certain day, and am not listed as On Call, as an hourly employee can my Supervisors still contact me on that day off? Can I be called in for a network call or major issue even not being On Call? Maybe this depends on the state but my previous employer this was not allowed as it would mean they had to pay me for my time. Same state by the way as my last employer. I don’t appreciate the “off the record” comments that some Supervisors mention when talking. I work in a state that is “At Will” unfortunately meaning they can terminate you for any reason at any time. Not quite fair is it This has been happening to me and a team member so looking into possible escalation if it keeps happening. Any advice would be appreciated.

NCR definitely has their share of problems but the most of the people here I imagine would have the same negative issues / feelings regardless of the employer.

Definitely looking and had an interview recently. Recruiter reached out to me for a job about an hour away but not appealing. My TM and TL are terrible, business first people who do not care about you. In all my years of working they are two of the worst by far. Stay aggressive in your job search. I want out of here in the worst way and won’t stop until I get something else.

I stay here for the stars, every Friday I get to check my kindergarten stars on my job performance. It's the highlight of week.

Because I work from home and I am paid to do nothing. I have no skills to go anywhere else.

Some folks just can’t let go. Some even road the Titanic all the way to the bottom.

first rule in life, don’t quit a job until you have another one secured. when will Mullet Mike ever be held accountable by the stockholders?
