Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

Is it worse in non-fab roles?

I am thinking about working for GF in Austin. Please tell me it’s not as bad in the business roles.

@aj You nailed it!!! Always depends most on your job/mgr/team fit more than company culture.

Ps- I’m based out of the Austin location. I LOVE my job and the people I work with from around the world.

I feel good about the company’s economic outlook based on publicly available information and my read of the executive team. I still come here from time to time, though, because sometimes people post interesting comments/questions that they only feel comfortable doing anonymously.

It would well worth an hour of your time to read through some of these threads. There really is no bright future at GF.

It’s the best of the best. Only the creme of the crop come to work at Globalfoundries. The absolute dominant semiconductor business leaders are there. They know what they are doing since they are so educated and experienced in such matters.

The people who post and comment here are not a representative selection of GF employees- we are the unhappy ones, for the most part.

Your role, immediate manager, and attitude will all do more to determine how your time at GF feels more than anything you read here.
