Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Hard to find motivation

I don't remember ever feeling less motivated for work than I do now, and I've been here for quite a long time. It's become very hard to remain motivated in this mess, hasn't it?

Do as little as required. Take time off as needed. No more putting this useless place ahead of anything. They cannot even keep to their word ..
Why don't they just close this entire place and run it from Indra home country.

@aitg+1nOCRFi5 payroll is such a mess. I am taking a vacation and feel as though I can't take the time off due to MBS always suspending a ticket that I will have to answer. My boss offered for me to set up a rule to send tickets to them so I can take the time off. HQ doesn't listen when I tell them what is wrong and what needs to be fixed. Yet at the same time I know my days are probably limited so why do I care if tickets are suspended and people don't get paid the correct way? If they could just give me my last day I would not care what happens while I am off

I used to feel PepsiCo was a good company until I got laid off after dedicating half my life working for them. If you are making 6 figures and you have a pension, be worried caused all it takes is someone from the 'wise' leadership to decide you are not worth the money they pay you. So the negative comments are probably because PepsiCo has no regrets letting you go, they don't care about your security or family they only care about making money. MOST people that try to defend this company are in denial of what really goes on year after after. If you make it to 30 years now a days consider yourself very lucky. Green is greener on the other side, just ready any comments from people that actually leave.

@aitg+1nOCRFi5 don't run the payroll reports, let it fail like I do each week. I don't check the tickets to see if it was done right by MBS/GBS. I only create a new ticket when someone figures won't they aren't paid properly. I wait for the issues to happen so maybe HQ will see that having managers process payroll is not going to work.

Ha ha, right payroll is a joke. The managers aren't doing what they are supposed to and I still have 20 edits to be made before I can close payroll this week. Not to mention running ert reports for commissioned employees who haven't been changed and whose route they took over is no longer available in ski. I am also waiting for a package but wonder if that is even a priority for them. Really, how much will they save by eliminating me and my pittance of a salary.

A lot of negative comments about Pepsi on this sight. Why don’t people just leave if they are not happy. I’ve been with Pepsi for a long time and it is a great company. Sure there may be a time when I must go before I want to but that is corporate America.

My advice to you is the same I give to myself. Appreciate all you have , don’t complain and go find another job if you are not happy!

This place is a cluster and filled with chaos. The main problem is everyone is overworked. Hire enough people to get the job done. How much more business or share do we have to lose? I have a ton of experience and told two directors that I’m leaving due to being underpaid. No one cares. When I’m at a competitor I’m going to rake away tons of revenue directly from Pepsi all because they didn’t want to pay me a few thousand more per year. Clueless.

The environment is horrid - the most toxic and depressing it’s been in years. The new HR tool in Chicago tried to spin the return to office as a wonderful thing and sure to increase productivity. I nearly vomited. I applied for about 10 jobs over the past two months. Not one has as draconian public reviews as this one and none required working in the office much beyond a day or two. A few were even fully remote. Then add things like incentive bonuses available to ALL - not just the exalted leaders - and it’s clear - this company has devolved into a sorry employer of last resort. Can’t wait to open the office door ( the one marked exit) one last time. Good riddance! Work that humiliates - the new PepsiCo way.

Don't worry..forcing everything back to the offices will surely fix that (dripping with sarcasm)

I agree-I have no motivation since they told me my job is going to india back in 2020, I am still here just waiting for the package. I do minimal work compared to what I was doing and I don't care anymore if anyone is paid correctly-they have managers handling payroll, so I just sit and laugh when they get frustrated with missing deadlines. they thought my job was so easy, but now realize how mush I did-they don't appreciate me. I was on a call the other day and there were break out rooms, they wanted us to answer " Where do we see ourselves in 5 years" I was nice and said I just hope I still have a job, I didn't say I was hoping for a job with a different company
