Hi all. I just heard from my manager. The layoff communication starts in two weeks and will be complete by the end of June. No idea on how the severance package would be though. I am a software engineer.

Heard form CEO-1 level that they dont have anything finalized but should have things moving by mid June.

@b4, I'm not the original poster, but I've heard the similar rumor (I'm in Arizona.)
Ok this thread got weird. I asked the question about the location of the OP. Location matters hugely as impact will not be even, nor will the process run parallel across sites. Some of the safer sites won't even be brought into the process until after other sites have wrapped things up and the final reductions are clearer. So I would like to know where the OP is located.
@ah what difference does it make. The cuts are coming and it will have impacts across all sites.
OP can you tell us if you are in the US or outside it? Obviously a specific fab would be best but understand if you don't want to provide that info.
The necessary surgery has been delayed too long to be almost unnecessary now.
