Slowly the Splunk leaders are leaving

As predicted before all the senior leaders of splunk are getting out of Cisco after their vestings. Does not bode well for Splunk as it was.

But it is irrelevant to Cisco.

If they're still generating $4B in revenue and $1B in earnings as they did the year before they joined Cisco they're covering up massive failures in other parts of Cisco. Take those off Cisco's more recent numbers and you'd be talking $34/share, not $64/share.

Splunk = the most pointless acquisition ever. Utterly irrelevant. Not dissing Splunk as it was, they did a good job at what they do. But it is irrelevant to Cisco. So now the Cisco field is even more diluted trying to understand yet another solution set.
