This is what happens when you have a dysfunctional company with apathetic employees that manufactures overpriced unreliable junk

Look at resale values where Toyota and Honda excel.
@jc+1jky8fp1t is a liar
This post really shows how represented the boomers are here. The 2.7L is widely praised, but everyone here just wants their 200hp boat anchor V8's from decades ago
Yep, 4 vehicles with 2.7l
2015 with a 2.7l - traded in with 195,000 for a 2020 with a 2.7l
2016 with a 2.7l - traded in with 186,000 for a 2021 with a 2.7l
That's 4 2.7l (you can double check my math if you want)
some people actually drive cars while others sit and complain about something they know nothing about on a layoff sites.
Cheers!
Owned 4 eh? How about not getting a new vehicle every year or two and seeing how well you like it then. Like many customers do who don't get new vehicles on the regular.
You guys are Ford apologists. The 2.7l is a lemon. Anyone that buys one is asking for trouble down the line.
The 2.7l is an over designed beast that customers love. just look on youtube for a teardown, it's an amazing engine (I've owned 4).
The oil pan leak has long been resolved.
@eq+1jky8fp1t - agree, bad design, but I’m told (by a friend at Lima) that other engines have the same bad design.
@eg+1jky8fp1t good luck with any generation 2.7L. look up the single use oil pan. Bad designs are bad designs!
@dj+1jky8fp1t - I looked. 1st gen engine was bad, 2nd gen is good according to many people on the F150 forum.
You can thank DEI. How many dei people/pronouns drive an F150.
@ah+1jky8fp1t: not true. A bunch of people got fired=>Laid off. Innocent, hard-working people. But not the people really responsible for making those poor decisions.
@aw+1jky8fp1t yes
Look it up. Those engines are terrible
Sad to see this happens. When I hired in back in the 80s that Q1 meant something. Now it is just a punch line. Very sad. Once you loose market share it is very difficult to recapture. Farley not focused on Fords true customers. Instead he tries to appeal to the 25% of the market. Read the other day about a performance EV he wanted I was like are you kidding me. WTF is this clown doing??
Just think if Toyota was to follow Ford’s marketing decisions they would have ceased making the RAV4 as according to marketing boy wonder Farley it is boring and not what the customer wants. Farley’s lack of financial acumen and business discipline is astounding.

Right on. Recently the spin has included vans too, but I think they stopped with that angle... Probably because it didn't last.
Ford vehicles has poor quality for the past 30 years. People finally figured it out that they are junks compared to Toyota Honda Kia Nisan. Sales has been steadily going down. It's time to fix Ford problems or file for bankruptcy in 4 years.
Marketing spin. Zelda "it's a secret to everybody." Ford with qualifiers, America's top selling name plate truck. GM sells more GMC and Chevy trucks combined.
@aj+1jky8fp1t - I have one, should I be worried?
Outsourcing engineering is catching up. Out of business as far as I’m concerned. Sorry to those still there. Will never buy an engineered product from Mexico or India! Never!
It is so sad to hear these things about once such a strong product. Please keep things simple with high quality like Alan Mulally did. Ford quality is at all time low now.
lol, 24MY F150 sh-t the bed. Consumer reports lowest rated vehicle is the F150 hybrid. So naturally all the customers who bought these steaming piles are reconsidering their future in the Ford ecosystem. And at the end of the day: NO ONE GOT FIRED!!!
