One of Fidelity's stated keystone values is jobs and promotions are based on merit. This tenet could not be farther from the truth. They are now all caught up with Critical Race Theory and being Woke. Jobs are being given to folks not based on merit but based on their s-x and skin color. So called experts in Critical Race Theory are being invited to off-site meetings and informing the white males in the room that they got to where they are based on white privilege. If you want to keep your job, or move up in the company, you betting buy into this fanciful narrative. Hiring and promoting folks based on their s-x and skin color is a slippery slope that will lead to the slow decay of Fidelity. I once bled Fidelity green but I now find the firm, and its practices, repugnant.

Really? You’re gonna be THAT guy? (oops, I mean “going to be”)
The pedantic spelling/grammar police DONT belong here.
(seriously, buhbye)
Gibberish doesn't NOT Gibberish don't
So much verbiage in the post and comments.
Use half of that in your work routine and you might get somewhere.
Gibberish don't make a penny for the company.
Ex-employee here - are they giving employees Juneteenth off as a holiday? Seems unlikely with the market open.
If you look at the company's internal website, there is no mention of the business and inflationary headwinds anywhere. Instead it's all about Pride month, Juneteenth, D&I, etc. Its obvious where their priorities are these days.
Agree. Fidelity used to be a great place, but has jumped the shark with their wokeness and D&I hiring. I wish I was eligible for vbo. Class action lawsuit for discriminatory hiring and promotions?
Its amazing how fast the company sold out to the diversity, equity (a.k.a. socialism) and inclusion (DEI) crowd. It's no longer encouraged to hire the best available candidate. Instead, for the past 6 months, hiring managers have been TOLD by HR the gender and skin color of any open hiring requisitions. This puts the hiring manager in an awful spot as far as Team morale goes. Many senior people are leaving the firm at the end of this month due to the Voluntary Buyout offer, only to be replaced by more junior DEI hires. Its just not a sustainable model. At some point, you need to look beyond skin color and s-x and hire the best qualified candidates.
