When was the last time anyone has said.... "that person deserved that promotion, has the right mixture of technical and leadership skills and was the best choice" ?

Oh geeze. I'll take that one. As long as its just in title only. I think they run into issues when they just try to take pay from you. Easier to seperate you for cause or some other at will reason. Less responsibilities the better no?
Not sure but they aren't free. Maybe a discounted rate. But Ford gets to count them as a sale. So if you dont take one, you are going against wishes as well as depriving Ford of a "sale". Maybe 30-50 percent discount? I don't know and lucky for me I'll never have to find out.
@ag what about demotion
@b5 how much do management leases cost? I thought they were a "benefit"
They must have needed a scapegoat really bad. No offense, hopefully they let you decline the management lease. Forcing someone into a position they don't want AND shoving a car payment on them. Talk about a$$holes...I'd consider that grounds for a resume update and sourcing up my network. I'd take that as an insult.
I said no to an LL6 and was promoted anyway! I don't know what if anything that means.
Basically 2 things, 1- Part of the FnF gravy train; 2- Live in Birmingham
Its is either Gimp or Simp
Only when it was, they themselves being recommended by volunteering their own name.
If someone selects you for a job promotion and you didn't ask or want it. Run. This holds true for every position but especially at Ford. It's an invite to flog yourself on the pillar of middle school BS personality games. Play ball if you have to but have an exit plan.
There is no "standard job requirements" even for a same job. The hiring command chain (not hiring manager only) always customizes the job post to target their favorite and defeat other potential candidates. You must check the FnF box.
It is being the best SIMP
Ford’s promotion process seems to favor those with personal ties to management, rather than recognizing talent or performance.
