I can't wait to see all the lazy fu--s who managed to avoid being laid off over the years by being kissasses kicked out by Broadcom. Even if I don't make it, I will get enormous pleasure just from knowing that for once, there is no way that their sh-t is going to fly. I see it as the silver lining of whatever happens.

I have it on good authority 80 percent of SR director roles and higher will be eliminated day 0. They don’t do any work anyway, so it wouldn’t even be noticed if they were gone.
All I know is that apparently a very immature person managed to get a job at VMW.
You all sound like bunch of whiney babies stop. This is such difficult time it go through some of us don’t sleep or have nightmares you here cussing each other out

No dumazz. I don't know where you got where I said that. But anyway, if whatever you want to believe makes you feel better then go for it. I made the leap and got a new job, and it's worked out pretty well. And I hope it works out for everybody else. Except for the people on this site making nasty comments.
"You won't. Because I wisened up and left a year ago. All settled into a nice, secure job. “
Hmmm didn’t you say “even if I don’t make it”?
Wether you have a new job or not is your life really that miserable and empty that you have nothing better to do than lurking around hoping people get fired? Gosh what a waste of air.
Uh... I was the guy that said: "I hope the OP is the very first person on their list to cut."
So who were you responding to?
I really don't want to see people get laid off but if the ex-Pivotal clique that became Tanzu is sweating a little, good. I never worked with such lazy, inept, and entitled engineers in all my years (and they're many).
"You won't. Because I wisened up and left a year ago. All settled into a nice, secure job. "
You have a new job? But in the original post you said "Even if I don't make it, I will get enormous pleasure" which to me sounds like you are still here.
Someone is telling porkies.
lol... eat a snickers, you're not you when you're hungry
"Hahahaha I’d love to see your face when you’re the first one to go!"

While I can understand why some people are going to vent their frustration, as we get closer to the inevitable, let's all try to be in control of our emotions. For our own sake.
Stress can make you sick, and if you're older it can lead to a stroke or heart attack. Take a chill pill, and relax. Not much longer now. It will all be over soon, and we can move on.
I hope the OP is the very first person on their list to cut.
I have yet to meet ANYONE lazy at VMware.
Take a trip to APJ, then get back to us.
I am sorry - I have yet to meet ANYONE lazy at VMware. Everyone here works their a---s off, and has had pride in working for a great company. I am literally sick that we have been acquired by such a customer insensitive company.
You looking in the mirror there ?
Are these forums moderated? Can this be removed? Freedom of speech shouldnt cover complete a--holes.
PSA: Lyra has mental health and coaching resources available for VMware employees, and can be utilized in person and remotely. 12 free sessions for employees per year and they often can schedule the same day for a session. Burnout and anger management both fall under this umbrella.
Dam, who hurt you that much that you are in that mindset. I actually pity you.
I don't think anyone is concerned if proven low performers lose their jobs. It's the uncertainty that gives people anxiety.
Get a life.
