DOFE - First Action RTO 5 Days

….Time to start doing work again for a full day….time to give your full attention to work for a full day…. time to give up the second job….time to do shopping on personal time….time to do home repair on personal time… time for management to start engaging their teams 1:1 for real Quality and quantity of work….time to weed out the vast deadwood, including the deadwood management that doesn’t seem to want to work anymore….it goes on and on why we need to RTO.

@OP- Apparently you need to be 'supervised'. You need to be micro managed. So do everyone a favor. Report to the office every day, mind your breaks and lunch period, stop worrying about what everyone else is doing (because it's clear you don't know), and do as you're told. Ford technically needs less people like you, and more intelligent, focused, responsible, driven, self-starters.

I work from home. My boss, who is in the office, always tells me that I am the example to follow for WFH. I get work done. I work extra hours when necessary. I deliver, and step up when others need help or mentoring. So some of us, are working as hard or harder from home. What do I do? I am a Wizard of the Dark Arts. Not many can do what we do.

You need to be smart to work from home independently. Whoever needs help all the time cannot work from home and need to return to office to save their a-s.

I know one LL6 who was desperate to return to office because she didn't know what to do from home. She has no skills and is totally dependent on others to save her lousy job. She goes early in the morning to office and stays late but does nothing. Zero value add. Ford likes such people because they are in office all the time doing nothing. Fu-k you Ford.

Why? Would 5 Day RTO have stopped the C-Suite from flushing $5B a year down the drain on BEVs, from shifting talent and resources to BEVs and pointless Train Station projects or stopped us from declaring ICE a second priority?

Tell me how sitting in an office building talking on Zoom meetings instead of at my home desk is gonna improve BEV sales and vehicle quality.

Or is it just about excuses to lay people off?

Instead of RTO 5 days focus on layoffs. Whoever returned to office already or wants to RTO should be laid off as they are not adding any value.

Time to start doing work again for a full day….time to give your full attention to work for a full day….

Obviously you’ve never worked in a pre-COVID Ford engineering office.

Plenty of people were there, staring like zombies at computer screens, but their minds were elsewhere.

If information workers aren’t getting the work done, that’s a management problem, not a location problem.
