Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Let the game begins - Which Company can make a vehicle for less than $25K

As you all know, many companies are coming out with basic vehicles with the price targeted at $25K. With many people all over the world wanting a reliable, good quality, and affordable vehicles. The Big 3 don't have any vehicle that can meet the requirements.
This is sad, how can the US Big 3 being in business for over 100 years and can't figure out hot to make an affordable vehicle for the consumers. Tesla will be the first US company that can do this. All other foreign automotive companies already have theirs in production. Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan are capable. The Chinese automotive companies are leading the segment. They have the best looking, reliable, high tech, attractive, and the least expensive vehicles available for everyone in the world, except the US. They are not allowed to enter the US market, because they will bankrupt the Big 3 immediately. Sad to say this, but the Big 3 su-ks.

Same thing they did in the early to mid 2000s and that blew up in their faces, so they waited another 15 years and did it again.

I tried a base Escape. It was a piece of garbage. I sold it after only a year.

Ford could do it, if they outsourced all engineering and assembly to China. All they need is slave labor. There's a reason why the Chinese have dorms attached to their factories and their people work 9-9 6 days a week.

Try to search for any new vehicle from Ford for $25k or less, there is none.

I just picked up my 2025 Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE. 50 miles per gallon average. I love this car.
It's built with quality, smooth, quiet, efficient, and attractive. All of the fit and finished on this car are perfect. 👍👍

My first car was a Ford Escort. Standard transmission, manual windows and locks. It was a reliable, zippy, great little car. That's what my parents could afford to help me with. Today it would be a Japanese car for sure.

Focusing on big trucks and SUVs because they're more "profitable" and ceding the small car market to the Japanese and Koreans is a fools errand. Plenty of people just want a simple, reliable, affordable car to go from A to B and don't care about having the latest tech and nuisance features they'll never use.
