Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Jumping Ship

GREAT leaders are now jumping ship and their team leads are following them... what does that say for the company... it su-ks! The most selfish, backstabbing and conniving group of executive leaders I've ever seen...it is literally obscene! Ruin people's lives but make sure your get your raises, bonuses, stock options ... hope you choke on your greed and all the great people in the company walk out!

@fk Stephanie Ferris is completely incompetent. Anytime an id--t in management refers to themselves as a "disruptor", it's an admission that they are too stupid to fix things but not too stupid to break them.

@x6 It typically is at FIS. They know how to keep a few aging employees around, just enough to make the spreadsheet look nice, but really they are laying off the most experienced workers as fast as they possibly can.

@a9 Idk, I can't speak for the whole company but I know of a few people recently hired in my same department that are older than I am. I don't think age is the issue.

Disappointing & disgusting amount of corporate greed from these new executives. It’s absolutely a horrid place.

@a9 everyone is stretched so thin, they are miserable. So many are updating resumes and wanting to leave of their own accord and that is mostly likely what they are hoping for so unless an amazing opportunity comes up, make them pay you to leave.

@bc from what I am hearing, not everyone is getting a severance and those who do it is laughable the amount. I wouldn't miss a great opportunity if one came up but you can hold out for the severance and hope for the best. Also, I hear people were let go who had money owed to them through the future forward initiatives. Some were given half of what was promised and others nothing with a promise of being paid out at a later date before they were let go. So unethical!

So what you're saying is we should also just ship instead of being fired?

@a9 I smell an ageism class action suit brewing. Unfortunately it will go to arbitration and they'll lose. It's in all our employment contracts.

And they're still hiring, while firing the same roles. The goal is to get young, inexperienced people in to replace experienced people who know they're being treated like sh*t. Or to offshore even more to to locations with no worker rights and low pay. The company is only in a decent place because it's too hard for our customers to replace us.
