Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

State Farm is the Carnival Cruise of corporate America!

I've only worked at State Farm for 6 months and I have to get out of this place! This place is an insane asylum! Carnival Cruises has nothing on this place! WOW! Can't make this sh-t up anymore! No hope!

I've been here a year in Fire Stewardship and absolutely hate this place. Training was horrible, my peers are complete ret-rds and I'm always have to work the claims from load leveling. Heck, half my team is usually out on STD or some kind of ADA/STD. I hate coming into the office and the move to Cityline is going to be even worse. Definitely feel like I took a Sprit Airlines flight from Atlanta to catch a Carnival Cruise!

Its not too bad outside of entry level claims and underwriting roles. If you have the pension its worth it to be around. Yeah if i was a new hire id probably go elsewhere after a year though not much incentive these days to endure the entry level slog and maybe make it to a better role. At least when i joined i used earning the pension as the motive to stick with the company and managed to get into a reasonable role by the end of it. Without the pension id likely be working for a competitor by now.

Just got out of training in Property-Complex and WOW this place is horrible! A friend of mine told me to check out this web-site and I wish I had before I accepted a job at State Farm. It's hard to believe a company with SF's resources is sooooo low rent! Equipment/tech su-ks, workforce that looks like it was hand picked from McDonald's rejects or the unemployment line. Agent's are reta-ds. These huge buildings appear to be a monument to failure and 1980s mindset. I've almost been hit three times pulling into the parking garage by people that work at SF! You can tell the TMs just absolutely hate this place, their jobs and I do not blame them. Almost everyone in my training class was running some kind of angle or late everyday, absent, d-mb as a rock, attitude issues or some other phobia or mental problem. This place is a complete joke and I will be leaving ASAP!

At least Carnival Cruises is smart enough to know when its business model is not working and is making some changes! SF is doubling down on ret-rd!

Let me rank it for you, I worked in Atlanta for 2 years and bolted after EIP in March! I hear Dallas is not much better and Phoenix is also a lost cause. Sh-t hole, like a bad dream you never wake up from! I do not wish that place on my worst enemy!

  1. State Farm with an extra dose of ILR and Express and side of Fire Co and Injury
  2. Carnival Cruise -a 50% off sale, full drink package with a Alpha Kappa Alpha reunion
  3. Spirit Airlines, return flight to Chicago for Baltimore, 2 hour delay on the tarmac
  4. Waffle House - 2:00 am after a 2 Chainz concert
  5. Kamala rally, with a side of Barack and guest speakers Beyonce, Bernie, and AOC

Stop being disrespectful to Carnival Cruises in comparing it to State Farm. A Carnival Cruise would be a huge improvement over State Farm......Now Waffle House and State Farm ......that might be a little more fair comparison! LOL!

Place is a sh-t hole!

I knew what their true colors were when they got popped for RICO and put their names on stadiums while they didn't give a rats a$$ about their employees while executive was taking huge bonuses. They really showed their true colors and ethics when trhey made their unethical business decisions.

@ab This is what happens when the leader of a race drives with their face in the rearview mirror.

Well honestly GEICO is the Spirit Airlines and the Carnival Cruises of the insurance industry. SF thought they were onto something, so they copied them for 10 years. Progressive was watching, and now SF is trying to catch back up after copying GEICO's failed operating model.

Since Carnival is a corporation, why wouldn't Carnival Cruise be the Carnival Cruise of corporate America. Or in otherwards, your analogy makes no sense, what gibberish are you trying to convey?
