Managed to get back to working after all of the distractions and disruptions that have been happening lately. Not feeling much hope or any sense of a return to normal any time soon (aka this year). Would love to be proven wrong.

@dv+1jqw1f9hc @d3+1jqw1f9hc. Ahh votes for bureaucracy and the illusion of control that slows everything down. I see middle management has shown up. Sorry about your layoffs.

@d3+1jqw1f9hc, spot on. All agile did is to legitimate poor quality work.

A bunch of us in HR were commenting in a meeting that we need some sort of DOGE action. We need someone to make hard decisions. We did realize that a DOGE group would eliminate half of HR, but we all agreed it would be worth it. Basically keep pats strategy and scale headcount down to what is actually needed and bring in stronger talent at the top and in engineering. We can only hope LBT has the guts.

Agile, scrum, all that cr@p was the biggest scam to ever be inflicted on corporate America. All it succeeded at was creating a bunch of make-work jobs for all the people who don't actually have any skill or talent.

I’m feeling optimistic about the big changes happening at Intel. The focus is now on improving culture and increasing efficiency, which is great because we're moving away from the stagnation of POR/CE. These changes will bring new energy to the factory, but we just need Naga and Lip bu Tan to speed things up a bit.

There is so much bureaucracy in the interest of control that it slows everything down. We say we do sprints but really it's waterfall causing the team to have zero room to operate when things change inevitably. And when they do, there are a massive number of committees that must be presented too in order to justify why POR changes.

There is absolutely nothing agile about the way we work but good god does my group generate powerpoints, dashboards, status meetings on status meetings on status meetings. Good grief.

At this point everyone has been so beaten down that no one is willing to point out the way we work doesn't make any sense.

Not optimistic. Evan if we get rid of the useless management layers there’s still way too many bugs and not enough talented engineers.

My group is hopeful that those who spend most of their days at work posting on internet chats are terminated, and we are optimistic that is about to happen very, very soon.

So the mood is actually pretty good.

Nervous for layoffs but otherwise cautiously optimistic

No hope. CCG will be combining all the SW into one group. It was paused, now what? Just silence.
