Austin schwabbie here. Went through my third interview for an internal position recently and this morning got a call from the hr specialist asking if I'd be willing to move to Westlake or another campus. She said the position can't be in Austin. Maybe it's just a coincidence but certainly seems like they may be closing Austin in the not too distant future.

@a8 I have seen Lone Tree fill up quite fast this summer. How to talent reviews come to play with all of this reorganization? I know my team is buried beneath a pile of bureaucracy and the teams that actually deliver the solutions barely know what’s going on until last minute there’s certainly far too many directors telling product teams, what to build without knowing the actual systems it’s a huge cluster f*%k. Rather it’s the Jenga pile in reverse where they keep adding and adding and adding on necessary features on top of legacy systems & that tower is about ready to collapse. But the directors don’t care because they don’t know what’s going on at the system level. But we are still delivering … yay!?

Post my IP here. I will verify, and change it later. Easy to do. Thanks.
Name that tune! “PS if this is Austin I still love you”
@ac I can confirm what this guy is saying, I am a lieutenant of the Screaming Firehawks division of the Schwab Hacking Brigade, we've backtraced the internet and are currently photoshopping all of the pictures in your camera roll to make you blink in all your pictures.
Austin will continue until the GCC ramps up. We've been told it will likely shut down at some point, but that won't be in the next 3-5 years.
@ac try 🙃
@ac Come at me, dchebag! I don't even work for your st company anymore.
@a8 I bet there isn't a seating issue with WFH. Sounds like y'all are f**kin' up.
Not actually an MD just an id--t pretending. Been done numerous times here and it’s never funny.
@ac What’s your name, MD? Wow. That is the absolute worst way to represent Schwab. Threatening to track people down (aka, stalking people). Golly.
MD of Corporate Real Estate here. There is absolutely no truth to the rumors about us closing or downsizing our Gracy Farms location. Those spreading such nonsense should know that your IP addresses are being tracked, as the self identified "talent advisor" should well know. We will find out who you are and we will hold you accountable.
@a8 Oh it's going somewhere, even if just a few exits up MoPac. They are selling the current office over by Top Golf, getting rid of most of the employees, and moving those remaining to the building where Seton Shoal Creek hospital used to be which they recently bought.
Talent advisor here - seating is an issue in a few locations particularly Lone Tree, but Austin sometimes too depending on the team. The Austin office is not going anywhere…
It’s just at capacity chill
