Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Executive search

They have to be looking for Farley’s replacement. His contract express 10/1/25. I think Frick could be it. Cannes “retired” from the allegedly most profitable segment , Pro, but hasn’t been permanently replaced. Frick is currently in charge of Pro, Blue and Model e. There is nothing else left but Credit. Something is in the works.

What Ford needs is a CEO with an engineering background and experience running a global manufacturing company with a complex product. Anybody smart enough to have that experience should be smart enough to not want to work for the Ford family.

Maybe that’s why there haven’t been any “Farley is great” press releases lately.

Basically, if they come from a field where Cs get degrees is good enough - bad idea.

@b5 Is 100% right, you need an engineer to run a manufacturing company. Look at our history.. The marketing guy, disaster. The Furniture guy, disaster. The second Finance guy, nothing accomplished of note. The Boeing guy, absolute gem. The Family guy, disaster. The first Finance guy, HUGE disaster. (You youngsters dont remember Jac the kn--e, he was scary bad on top of a really bad guy)

Mike Aragon was hired by Alexandra English to be Farley’s replacement as Ford’s CEO, until it is her turn. He has CEO experience, worked in startups, and knows how to sell subscriptions to mirrors.

Is the barrier that low?

That’s literally 20-30 mins for a crash course anyone can learn fully

Let's get a CEO that can prove they know how to use an Arduino and toggle some GPIOs.

Unfortunately, our next CEO will likely be even better at Excel and AI buzzword generation.

Scroll through the list of 94, count ‘em, 94 Ford “executives” and see that none of them are qualified to be a CEO, although Frick is the best of the bunch. Ford not only has no bench, we have a whole lot of nobody capable of “leadership.”

Like with other hiring, they want a non-Ford guy. The internal pool is weak.
