Def Met could not detect defects properly. This is the major problem of Intel fab, and one of the biggest gap.

Pure jealousy. Def met tools don't cause excursions, they find them. Process modules get woken up in the middle of the night by automated message that their tool failed particle checks. The def met engineers get to sleep in their beds.
@a7 Were they right that there were defect issues and wrong about the specific cause(s) or wrong that there were defects at all?
Working in Litho, they would flag our toolsets with defects issues. Sometimes they were right with there decision's but most the the times they were wrong.
