I have more than $800k saved in liquid investments.
If I am laid off I will laugh out loud.
I feel sorry for those in debt with mortgages. Best of luck to you.

It is if you are single, can still work part time and aren't a fool with your money. That would include doing things like buying new cars and partying every weekend. 800k is plenty as long as you aren't $tupid and don't live in a blue he-l hole
@mw yep, especially since OP doesn't own a home, that $800k isn't true FU money
800k is not enough, too early to laugh. Your best bet is to move out to Asia and retire there. 800K won't get you far.
Bill,
This is a bit insensitive, when you start off with $100 million from your dad as a graduation gift, you really shouldn't gloat about still having $900 k when you made $30 million last year. Most of your employees didn't start out that well.
watch out, troll guarding the bridge.
Aww that's cute, you both think you're rich and don't even have a million despite being working age for over ten years and it's 2025!
What OP didn’t say is that he is 50 years old and still in his parent’s basement.
@OP-What are you investing in?
@a6 the hard working and skilled ones that try to be treated fairly are usually broke financially and broken mentally. it hurts when you get punished for wanting fairness. eventually you end up fighting for your reputation if you keep trying to defend yourself. you get lost in the sauce because they throw so many problems. they get in the way of your personal life too so your life just becomes ford. it's very hard to live a life when they trap you mentally. escaping isn't easy, especially when you're naive and don't know better
how many ford employees are broke?
Working for Ford has not been what I expected, it has really su-ked up to this point. I feel like I'm losing my mind.
Not sure how old you are, but I am 30, and have saved up $900k from being frugal, investing, and investing in MSTY. When the layoffs come, I will be ready and I too will be laughing my ar-e off. I'll be retiring before the age of 35.
I have no debt, and no mortgage since I bought my place in CASH.
The layoffs will make me laugh, and richer, with a package!

Nice job. It's difficult for people to save and live frugally. Those who do, like yourself, discover true freedom that most can only dream of.
