Anyone here for 10+ years have seen it all. Layoffs after layoffs, poor leadership and management, CEOs come and go, no vision, poor salary and raises - but still continue to stay and not leave. What does that tell anyone about the company and these old timers

@dp You seem somewhat fixated on other men's p-n ises.
@cx Anyone who thinks Intel's problems come from anything other than poor leadership is kidding themselves. Trying to blame it on employees who have no say whatsoever in where the company goes is just id--tic.
it's the @OP troll...
Oh stop blaming each other. The truth is a few powerful tech oligarchs scr3wed this place over and now nobody can fix it.
That’s the problem with our society. We see something many did and we label an entire group the same. You have good and bad in every group, young workers, old workers, police, doctors, teachers, etc.
Yeah, definitely the young people and not the 20+ year employees who got lazy/complacent thinking Intel would reign forever
@dp simmer down snowflake .
@cg you old timers go and di-k around at the cafe and spend hours chatting and doing nothing. You think that’s being productive but it’s actually the same thing as what the “younger folks” are doing
@dj ok boomer
Will you be talking about yourself that way when you age, which you will. Perhaps when you hit 40 or 45, someone else will think you're dead weight and need to dismiss you from your job. Then what? You might also tell your parents and your uncles and aunts that they are dead weight -- no matter what industry they are in. See what they say to you and tell us when you're done trashing them.
Lot of boomers in here trying to act like they weren’t responsible for Intels slacking over the last 10 years
The old timers find work when it’s a slow day. Younger folks immediate grab their phones and slack off.
It is like the marines. We old timers literally gave blood to this company. Some of us had heart attacks and passed away in the fab parking lot. So we will continue to help as much as possible and educate the new comers. Atleast we know that we did everything to help.
@a6 In what way does a tech who been here for 20 years add to poor management, design and vision. We work on the tools and keep then running.........take all that shade and direct it at your self.
@OP whatbis this about low pay. Bad raises. Im paid well. Who is not getting paid well?
Don't forget, when BK fired a bunch if people in 2016 and offered retirement packages to the old people you say are dead weight, intel fell 2 years behind schedules.
All of the old people that have left starting 2023, and taken severance packages, have left with Intel's soul.
There will be no recovery this time, the knowledge loss is too great.
Those of you left might as well leave as soon as you can find another job.
@am salary / TC includes stocks. And our stock you know.... I bet a lot don't even participate in ESPP anymore
Not to mention QPB and APB % have been dismal
Base salary is not bad but you don't get rich on that
Poor salary is not true. I agree with all else.
Many of us just see the potential and we have a lot invested in the company. We're trying hard, doing good work, and hoping for the best.
Sure, many long timers, execs, PEs, even new people are not doing their best work. But don't count us all out.
And yet they post expert opinion like they invented sliced bread
They got us here to this point
The CVP in my org has been around for 28 years. Its laughable how big of a worthless bag he is after almost 3 decades in the same company
Those 10+ year veterans ARE the problem
