Thread regarding Ford layoffs

No layoffs until October/ November

I don't expect any layoffs until Oct or November. The company expects a lot of a attrition from retirement quits due to the RTO mandate.
Why would they do it any sooner and pay a severance to all those who are going to leave on their own?

They are laying off already. I guess this post is for mass lay offs ? Wait for rate cuts by the Fed in September , then 2-3 weeks for HR to prepare the list from your LL4 "leaders".

One of my friends who just retired as an LL5 told me that the layoffs are planned for October and that they could be as high as 30% of the work force. I told him that that number seemed very high but he assured me that it was a good number. I guess we will see.

There isn’t going to be a defined round. It will happen during the mid performance reviews. Those that are marked lowest will get let go. This is why some of the goals were so insane. I watched it happen back in feb and march pretty happening again. It is a way around warn notices.

The heat gets turned up in Sept to 4 days a week in office and then 5 days a week in office in October and then after that layoffs as needed
