In the short term everyone is a target. In the future people who are BB now will come back as CW.

CW contracts count as operating expenses, which at the moment, is the current pinch point. Many will have contracts cancelled or significantly scaled back. It is just too easy to turn that knob with CWs. That is the whole point of CWs after all. Longer term, they might benefit in some job functions.

I think CWs are ultimately the big winner in the changes coming to Intel.

Groups have played the game of managing CW to meet target, only to bring them back afterward. That game is played out.

Some CWs may get cut this time but the trend is strongly in the other direction.

Many BB will be converted to GB, and in some cases that will be done to entire groups, and the usual HR rules do not apply when that happens.

Not the end of the world, just the end of some benefits. The pay is similar.

@OP, are you the same guy that posted these three posts? Because non of these questions you will get a true answer to on this site, but I can make up some BS like anyone else, so just wait and see.

  1. Will the CWs be affected by the Intel layoffs?
  1. How many techncians will be laid off at Intel New Mexico?
  1. What is going to happen in Intel Foundry?
